Yesterday while playing at Marin CC I used the Vokey to hole out from 125 yards on the 4th hole for an eagle while shooting a personal best round ever of 66.
Thanks for all your help on the clubs! |

Dan:
I shot a 91 yesterday at Rooster Run, and broke my previous career low of 92. I just have to shave a couple more strokes and I am in the 80s! I credit a combination of hitting the ball with more compression, the short game mechanics you helped me with, and the new irons. Also, the revised shaft length on the woods (especially driver) has really helped me control the ball off the tee and keep more shots in bounds.
Thank you for all your help. |

Dan:
As for the clubs, I wish I could really narrow down something specific but I'm having trouble. Basically I am just playing better with them. My scores this year are the lowest I have ever had. i.e. my lowest round scores have all happened in the last 12 months since the fitting. My bad rounds are still under 100. This is huge in light of the fact that after playing off and on for over 20 years, with many, many years of lessons, I never broke 100 until last year. So I know the fitting is helping tremendously. A big thing for me is just having the confidence of knowing that the clubs are right for me. If I have a miss hit, I know it is not the gear. Also, I have never driven the ball as well as I have over the last 8 months. I don't have a ton of distance but my ball flight is higher and straighter. I am hitting more fairways. It is a much more fun game when your second shots on par 4s and 5s are from the fairway. I couldn't be happier with the clubs and feel that the fitting was worth every penny and more. Other than lessons, it's the best money I have spent on golf. The fact that you check them over from time to time is a real plus. As my swing changes it's great to be sure they are still tuned perfectly for my game. It's that attention to detail that really sets you apart from other fitters I have tried over the years, not to mention that you are great to hang out with.
And I hope this year is even more successful than the last. Talk to you soon. |

Dear Dan,
I just wanted to take the time to say thank you for the recent work that you have done on my golf clubs. They have never felt better. I will confess that for most of my golfing life I have underrated the importance of getting properly fit. Like most people, I thought that I could play with anything. You proved me wrong! After working with you, my game has improved and I now have confidence in every club in my bag. I will never again play with a club that does not have "The Sacks Touch". |

Dan:
I wanted to let you know, my golf game and handicap have improved significantly since you provided the customized club fitting last summer. Here are a couple of observations and milestones:
With the customized fitting and reshafting of my irons, I am much more consistent and have easily picked up 10 yards on each club and more importantly I am hitting more greens in regulation!! Now I just need to make a few more birdie putts.
My handicap at Peacock Gap Golf Club last summer was as high as a 12 and has dropped to a 9 with hopefully a continued downward trend.
Finally, the best evidence of improvement is that my guest and I recently won our flight in the Lahontan Member-Guest Tournament a couple of weeks ago as well as repeated as the winners of the 9 hole Par 3 tournament!!
Dan, thanks for all your help and insight into the mysterious game of Golf!!!
I look forward to seeing you soon as there are always a few more things to work on in search of a lower golf score!!! |

Dear Swing Fitter Dude,
Thanks for all your help and support during my "Journey to the center of the face"!
My new clubs are better performing and more forgiving! You are both a craftsman and a scholar. Our fitting sessions let you craft the ultimate
weapons for "The Digger". They also let me see into the mystery of the swing. Who knew I could draw the ball!
All my best wishes and see you in the fairway
...
Later quoted as saying "I've broken 80 more times in the past 7 months, than I have in my whole life!" |

Hello Dan,
Bay Area Custom Golf, aka Dan Sacks changed the way I play golf.
I'm 67 years young and I am playing the best golf of my life, shooting the lowest scores, improving accuracy, and lowering my index (6.8). You changed every club in my bag, by changing the shafts and adjusting the frequency and swing weight-what a monstrous difference those changes made in terms of distance and accuracy and consistency. Not only was it a pleasure to work with you because of your ability to explain the changes you suggested, but your expertise was evident from the very first meeting and your warm sincere and friendly manners were very important in building trust that we were indeed moving my game in the correct direction.
After the meetings, club changes and the other secret things that you do in your shop I was presented with my clubs and told to check them out. For a lot of businesses that would have been the end of their commitment, but not at Bay Area Custom Golf, this was just the beginning. |

Dear Dan,
This letter is something I rarely sit down to compose but I am compelled in this instance to take the time to say how my experience with you and your company was over the top great!
I would consider myself in some ways a "purist" when it comes to golf. My theory is pretty much an "it ain't the arrow ", But I saw results with some of your other clients and I decided to give you a try and. I'm glad I did. Your approach to my golf game was clear and straight forward. You explained clearly the idea of "giving the Indian better arrows". From there the process continued and all along the way it was a pleasure.

I've been playing now for over 40 years and got as low as a +2.5. I am currently a - 1.9. I even had the thought during one of my rounds recently that I am playing the best golf of my life right now. I'm able to fire my irons at the pins and the tweaking you did to my driver and fairway woods is producing phenomenal results. Now, if only my putter would work ... !
Anyway, I wanted to at least let you know how happy I am to know that you are out there for all golfers from the low to the higher handicapped players. I believe you can help all of us with this silly, elusive game we play. It was a distinct pleasure to work with you and I would look forward to any work we might do in the future.
Good Luck with everything |

Dear Mr. Sacks:
I wanted to personally thank you for everything you did to accommodate and service our guests during your recent trip to The Pearl Golf Links. The professionalism with which you carried yourself has led to constant positive remarks that our clientele have come to expect from members of my staff) but not from outside organizations. If that was not enough) the expertise of fitting and seemingly infinite knowledge > of the products you use was truly impressive to everyone who had the chance to work with you. I am continuing to get compliments on your work and inquiries as to you next trip back. I think that it goes without saying that you have set a new standard for excellence for equipment fitting and I look forward to having you back quite soon! |
