Every club fitting at Bay Area Custom begins with a conversation about your golf game. We want to get to know your game as well as you do. We measure all of your existing golf clubs while we discuss your history with the game, current abilities, and future goals for your golf. We look at the length, loft, lie angles, shaft flex, shaft weight, swing weight, bounce, and your grips to make sure that we leave no stone unturned about your current clubs. Once we have all of this information we have a real baseline for what you've been working with out on the course.
After the initial interview process, you will be asked to fill out a detailed questionnaire about your golf game, club preferences, practice regimen, and playing style. Many of our players use this questionnaire as a reference point for their own games over time. We love that! |

With all of the information collected it's time to begin the actual fitting process. The next thing we do is go out for a 9 hole walkabout with each player at the course of their choice to see how their clubs perform in real world situations. You will be asked to hit multiple shots from different situations found on the course while we make detailed notes about what we alterations we need to make to the new fitted club set to get you playing your best immediately.
With the walkabout completed, we meet again at our studio to analyze your ball flight with our launch monitor. We will test several different clubs with shafts designed to improve your launch conditions and achieve what we've determined as our goals for the fitting. In order to maximize distance and more importantly, accuracy, we will test as many clubs as necessary to ensure that we've got the proper fit.
Once the new club set has been designed, you will be given a detailed club specification sheet with all of the information we have gathered in the fitting process. Upon receiving the club specs, you can choose to have your clubs custom built at Bay Area Custom or ordered through the golf course or pro shop of your choice. Our goal is to make sure you have all the information you need to get the right clubs for you. Not to sell you a set of golf clubs that is sitting on our wall. This gives us total objectivity to provide the best fitting in the business.
It doesn't end there. You will return in a period of time determined by your golf frequency for review and further adjustments. If additional adjustments are necessary, we will perform them immediately if possible. Occasional checkups are necessary to make sure that you are not only improving your score but enjoying your golf more every day. That's the goal here of course for you to play better and enjoy the game more!!! |
